Number of Legal Migrant Workers Grows
The number of legal labor migrants in Azerbaijan since the beginning of the year increased by 19.75%, amounting to 26,972. This is evident from the report of the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) of deductions for compulsory social insurance in January-October.
According to the Fund, the majority of registered migrant workers (88.2%) were male. In total there are 115 countries in the lead, as a rule, Turkey (13,583 people), Georgia – 2,949 people, Russia – 1,617, Iran - 960, India - 966, China - 844, United Kingdom - 548, Pakistan - 531, and the others are behind.

Saudi Electricity CEO Khalid Al-Hamidi and Baba Rzayev, Chairman of Azerbaijan's state-owned energy company Azerenergy, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Wednesday during the COP29 summit in Baku.
