PASHA Bank and PwC Azerbaijan held a joint business forum on "Corporate Governance"
PASHA Bank and PwC Azerbaijan held a joint business forum on “Corporate Governance: Transparency. Effectiveness. Responsibility” yesterday.
The main objective of the forum with the participation of leading experts of the global PwC network was to develop a better understanding of corporate governance, in both of the private and public sectors, as well as the importance of compliance with the internal procedures necessary to ensure a transparent and productive enterprise.
According promulgated Bank report, special attention from the participants of the forum was part of giving examples from international practice, as well as a discussion of certain issues related to the organization and improvement of these systems in various sectors of the economy of Azerbaijan by local experts PwC and PASHA Bank.
"We intend to continue to contribute to the formation of perfect management systems in developing companies using their experience and practice, thereby affecting the economic development of the country," said in a statement the head of PwC Azerbaijan Movlan Pashayev.
"PASHA Bank, as the largest financial institution in the country to provide services to corporate clients, successfully implementing projects to improve the application of international companies practices and corporate governance standards, which ensures stable and sustainable development of legal entities and private enterprise as a whole in the country," said a member of the Board, Chief Investment Officer of Bank Taleh Kazimov.
At a forum that brought together about 80 representatives from the public and private sectors, as well as international financial institutions, speeches were made by the representative of the Board of Directors of PwC for Central and East Asia, partner of PwC in Russia Nick Paige, Senior Internal Audit Adviser for PwC global network, Jean Pierre Gareth, and the Director of the Department of Legal and Organizational Affairs of PASHA Bank, Shirin Aliyeva. ---08D
