Results of the visit of the head of SOCAR to Turkmenistan
President of Turkmenistan and the head of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev expressed their willingness to strengthen in every way the fruitful dialogue between the two countries. This optimistic message is published in the press service of the President of Turkmenistan on the visit of Rovnag Abdullayev to this country.
According to the same source , during the meeting of the SOCAR head with the President of Turkmenistan were discussed various aspects of enhanced cooperation in the energy sector, including the implementation of joint projects in laying transit pipelines , which are of great importance given the growing needs of the world market for stable supplies of energy.
Rovnag Abdullayev stressed the interest of his company "in establishing full cooperation with Turkmenistan - reliable and promising partner, which has a huge resource and economic potential."
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that Turkmenistan has invested heavily in large-scale projects for the exploration and commercial development of large oil and gas fields and creation of an extensive pipeline network. According to the President, all of this is indisputable guarantee of rigorous and strict compliance with commitments by Turkmenistan.

In late February, the governments of Pakistan and Azerbaijan are expected to sign an investment agreement worth $2 billion, which will include several projects with SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan). According to Turan, the energy cooperation projects discussed in January in Islamabad and Baku will feature in the agreement. These projects include energy efficiency initiatives, the construction of a pipeline, and SOCAR’s plans to explore the creation of underground gas storage facilities in Pakistan, as well as documents provided by the Pakistani side related to the exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons in the country.
