The Case for Communications Infrastructure
During the operation of the Centre for Digital Signatures executives of 28 government agencies have received 2,078 digital signatures (EDS).
According to the Ministry of Communications of Azerbaijan, it was discussed at today's meeting of the board of the Ministry with the participation of all business units. The measures will help speed up the formation of a local "e-government".
According to the minister, Ali Abbasov, work is needed on the process of facilitating access to the said portal, as well as receiving EDS. Problems need to be addressed in the postal, telecommunications, radio and television environments, due to which the population has not yet received the required full package of quality services.
According to the portal ehdis.az (http://ehdis.az/infoportal/dispatcher?page=mainpage&actp=mp0&lang=az), the exchange of information in government information to provide services to the population involved 152 species of electronic services of nominal 395. As the Minister, except government services portal can absorb several thousand types of household information to citizens.
Part of electronic services is already available through the "single window". In the future, the said website will be an important tool for working with the public and corporate clients. - 17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
