The government is selling land at AZN 10 per 100 square meters
State Committee for Property Affairs announced an auction for the sale of land of another company that refused to privatize or take it out. The starting price of 1 sq. m of land situated in the village of Sabir, Shamakhi, 120 km from the city of Baku, is set at 10 manats.
The auction for the sale of land of wine making "Shamaxi Sherab-1" area of ??over 13.6 hectares, is scheduled for the 17th of September. The starting price is assigned to the amount of 13,643 manat. At previous auctions for the same sales transaction price match starting price, that is, there was no competition.
In the particular case, the reason of failure of the privatization of JSC located under the ground of his property is not known. However, in practice the previous years, the failure of the privatization of land is formal and pursues only one goal - to prevent the possibility of land claims of minority shareholders.
Majoritarian argue that the real value of the land is costing them much more expensive than the established government regulatory costs and sometimes reaches 30-50% of the market. Just this year, were sold by auction land such stock as Zerif Mahud, Baki Qeyri-Parcha Memulatlari, Baki Demir Beton-8, etc.
"Big" privatization in Azerbaijan stalled after the parliamentary elections in 2005. Then, on charges of illegal privatization of state property have been brought to justice ministers of economic development and health. Since that time, the center of gravity shifted to the privatization of the sale of land, which in most cases is corrupt character. In the economic courts of the country in this period were reviewed dozens of lawsuits for illegal actions of the State Property Committee, the failed joint-stock companies or other business entities in the privatization of enterprises is under the land. - 08B-
