The number of participating companies at exhibitions in Baku Iteca grew in 2012 by 40%
The Exhibition Company Iteca Caspian summed up the results of its activity for 2012.
The company reported that for the year in conjunction with the British partner ITE Group they held 20 special exhibitions in Baku, two of which were held for the first time. They were attended by 1,767 companies and more than 60,000 visitors.
In 2012, the exhibition showed a positive trend - 40% increase in the number of participants and visitors. Booths of local companies took nearly 50% of the total exhibition area. The effectiveness of the exhibition is the fact that most of the participants, including both local and foreign companies, in the end booked space for participation in exhibitions in 2013.
The activity of foreign exhibitors at exhibitions in Azerbaijan continues to grow. Companies from 65 countries took part in exhibitions in Azerbaijan. The leaders in the number of participants in 2012 were Russia, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Iran, Belarus, and Lithuania. The same positive trend is observed among the national groups, whose number rose to 29 in 2012.
The exhibition promoted international cooperation and increase in the flow of investment into the country. For example, only on the data of one exhibition Aqua-Therm Baku 2012, 23% of participants signed up at the show, and 84% plan to sign agreements on the results of the exhibition, the Iteca report says. In 2013, the exhibition will begin work in April. - 08D-

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less.
