The President approved the state budget last year
The President approved the execution of the state budget of Azerbaijan in 2012. According to official media, the decree was issued by President Ilham Aliyev. Deficit (the difference between revenues and expenditures of) is equal to 0.3% of GDP or 134 931.421 million manats.
So, last year, the state budget revenues amounted to 17 billion 281 million 521.57 thousand manats. The main burden rested in the tradition of recent years in the State Oil Fund, whose transfers - 9 billion 905 million manats, the ministry has set taxes to the treasury of 6 billion 26 million manat, the State Customs Committee - 1 billion 208 million manats, and there are other incomes.
Last year's expenses were at 17 billion 416 million 452.99 thousand manats. Of these, 9 billion 278 million manats were current ones, 7 billion 926 million manats were capital expenditures and AZN 213 million were allocated to the servicing of the public debt of the country.
Now for the top positions: social expenditure amounted to 4 billion 740 million manats (the proportion of 27.2%). Defense spending amounted to 2 billion 899 million manats (the proportion of 16.7%). State capital investments were 1 billion 450.9 million manat. In addition, the government is in the vulgar year attracted nearly 1 bn foreign loans for infrastructure and social projects.
Expenditure Reserve Fund of the President of Azerbaijan in the state budget amounted to 300 million manat, reserve fund of the state budget - 838 million manat, of which 120 million manat allocated to deal with the consequences of the earthquake in May 2012 in the north-western regions of Azerbaijan.

In late February, the governments of Pakistan and Azerbaijan are expected to sign an investment agreement worth $2 billion, which will include several projects with SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan).
