Three Trains of Stadler Delivered to Azerbaijan
As of August 1, Azerbaijan purchased 12 rail cars worth $ 36 million 911.7 thousand in Belarus. According to official sources in the country, all of them are made by Stadler Minsk and designed to operate on the route Baku-Sumgait.
According to the Statistical Office of Belarus, in May-July 6 engine passenger rail cars worth $ 21 million 355.3 thousand were supplied to Azerbaijan. One car was sold for $ 3,559,217. Also purchased from Belarus were 6 self-propelled railcars worth $ 15 million 556.4 thousand or $ 2,592,733 per unit.
Recall that CJSC Azerbaijani Railways and Stadler Rail Group (Switzerland) signed a contract in Baku this May for the purchase of five double-decker passenger trains to operate on the route Baku-Sumgait. Three trains have been delivered so far.
The press service of the company Stadler Rail Group told Turan the double-decker electric trains KISS produced by Stadler Minsk in Belarus meet all the standards of the Azerbaijan Republic and will become a new standard for the suburban rail transport in the country. The contract is worth 70 million Euros. The last train will be delivered by January 2016, after which five new trains will run on the railway line between the cities of Baku and Sumgait.
The Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijani Railways Javid Gurbanov said that, according to the contract for the supply, the redemption will be implemented over 20 years. Each train consists of four cars and can accommodate 919 passengers. --08B-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
