Till 2030 investments in power generation in Kazakhstan estimated at $54 billion
Till 2030 investments into power generation in Kazakhstan are estimated at $54 billion under the basic scenario and $36.5 billion under the conservative scenario, said Aset Magauov, General Director of KazEnergy Association.
He said under any scenario the main directions of development must be introduction of new ecological demands to release of harmful substances from thermal power stations.
“We also set a goal to increase the ashes recovery at the coal thermal power stations up to 99.5% and implementation of projects for utilization of cinder wastes and construction of new coal power blocs with the ultra critical steam parameters,” he added.
He added that it is planned to build the gas turbine/ gas piston power stations and atomic power station with three power blocs with the capacity of 300 Mwt each (two power blocs at the first stage) or the power bloc with the capacity of 1000 MWt.
Kazakhstan also intends to diversify the generating capacities.
Magauov said in Kazakhstan the main funds of power equipment are worn out and they depend on the neighboring countries.—0---
