Turkish premier instructed to fulfill commitments Turkey undertaken to TANAP project
Turkish Premier Rejep Tayyip Erdogan has instructed to fulfill all commitments to implement the trans Anadolu pipeline (TANAP), which the country has undertaken, reads the information posted on the web site of Resmi Gazete (Official Newspaper) of Turkey on Tuesday.
The information reads that TANAP is among the strategically important projects of Turkey.
TANAP envisages gas transportation from the Azerbaijani Shah-Deniz field to Europe via Turkey.
The initial carrying capacity of the pipeline is expected to total 16 billion cub.m. a year. About 6 billion cub.m. will be delivered to Turkey and the remaining amount to Europe. In the future it could be expanded up to 31 billion cub.m. a year.—0—
