Turnover BBVB in August Decreased by 37.1 %
BAKU/06.09.13/TURAN : The volume of trading in the currency section of the Baku Interbank Currency Exchange (BBVB) in August 2013 was $ 40,901 million and 32,083 million manat.
It is up 37.1 % compared to the previous month and by 43.1 % compared with August 2012 .
The average volume of each transaction in e-trading system on USD / AZN reached this August $ 1,887 million , the average daily turnover - $ 1.604 million.
Just BBVB auction in August 2013 was attended by three banks. In the reported month, the BEST recorded 40 trading sessions and 17 transactions .
Turnover on EUR / AZN in the reporting month amounted to 50,000 manat. The average weighted Euro rate to manat on this tool made 1.0430 AZN.
Exchange currency turnover in 8 months of this year amounted to the equivalent of 318.503 million manat, which is 37.5 % less than in the comparable period last year.
The exchange rate of the national currency in the reporting month remained unchanged at 0.7835 per 1 USD. The average rate of the U.S. dollar against the manat in August was 0.7844 AZN for 1 USD., While in July it was equal to 0.7841 AZN.
The monthly average interest rate calculated on the basis of banks' applications market makers in BakIBOR loans for up to 90 days in August 2013 amounted to 9.74 % per annum in manats and 10.23 % in U.S. dollars. The interest rate on BakIBID up to 90 days was 4.61 % per annum in local and 4.39% in U.S. dollars. -15B -
