US significantly increased import of Azerbaijani oil products
During six months this year US has imported 575,000 barrels of oil products from Azerbaijan, up 6.8 times against January-June last year, reads the information posted on the web site of the US Energy Information Agency (EIA).
During the same period last year the US has imported 84,000 barrels of oil products from Azerbaijan.
In 2014 US has imported 484,000 barrels of oil products from Azerbaijan against 366,000 barrels in 2013.
After a long break (since 2009), in 2012 the US resumed oil products deliveries from Azerbaijan. In 2008 308,000 barrels of Azerbaijani oil products were imported to the US.
However, EIA did not specify what oil products the US imports from Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan does not import petrol to the world markets. It imports only diesel fuel to the regional market. SOCAR’s competitive oil products at the world market is the aviation kerosene.—0—
