OPEC Expects Peak Oil Demand in 2040

Azerbaijan shows an example of how even small issuers can make a significant contribution to the fight against climate change, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev  told the participants of pre-COP29. According to him, due to the huge potential of wind and solar energy, Azerbaijan can promote the renewable energy program. "Liberated Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, declared green energy zones, have sufficient potential for renewable energy sources.

The Baku Global Climate Conference COP29 will be a decisive test for both the Paris Agreement and multilateralism, the President of COP29 Mukhtar Babayev said at the opening of the Preliminary Conference of the Parties to the United Nations on Climate Change 2024 (Pre-COP29) in Baku. According to him, the Azerbaijani chairmanship is committed to the inclusive, transparent and impartial conduct of COP29.

Financing is one of the most important topics in terms of the climate agenda. Simon Steele, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, said this on October 10 in Baku at the opening of the Preliminary Conference of the Parties to the United Nations on Climate Change 2024 (pre-COP29).

The goal of Azerbaijan, as the presiding party, is to become a bridge between the parties to the dialogue, the UN high-level leader on Climate at COP29, Nigar Arpadarai, said at a panel session within the framework of the UN Preliminary Conference on Climate Change 2024 (Pre-COP29).
