A skirmish between Baku and Yerevan on the eve of the meeting in Washington (updated)
Baku / 14.06.19 / Turan: The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry rejected the accusations of Yerevan that Baku on the eve of the meeting of the two foreign ministers in Washington is committing "provocative actions" on the front, forming an "unfavorable atmosphere" for negotiations.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry expressed surprise at such allegations from Armenia. "To what extent does the order of the Minister of Defense of Armenia about the destruction of Azerbaijani soldiers and awading snipers for it?" Corresponds to the creation of a peaceful atmosphere!" said the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan is interested in the soonest resolution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict and the promotion of the negotiation process for this purpose. One of the important goals of the talks is the withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.
"As long as the Armenian armed forces are illegally in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, there cannot be another important part of the negotiations. The sooner Armenia realizes this reality, the sooner sustainable peace, development and well-being will be ensured in the region," the commentary said. -06D-

Armenian Foreign Ministry accuses Azerbaijan on the eve of meeting in Washington
Baku / 14.06.19 / Turan: "Worthy condemnations of the violation of the ceasefire regime by Azerbaijan and provocative actions that have caused death in recent days and led to serious tensions on the contact line formed an unfavorable atmosphere before the planned meeting, " reads the statement of the Armenian Foreign Ministry on June 14 in connection with the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan scheduled for June 20 in Washington.
"The actions of Azerbaijan, which are characterized as the use of force and the threat of the use of force, impede the establishment of an atmosphere conducive to peace and thus impede the progress of the peace process. The current situation dictates a clear agenda for the upcoming meeting in Washington," the statement said.
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has not yet responded to this statement.
During the shootings in recent days on the front line, several soldiers were killed on both sides. Baku accused Yerevan of escalating tensions; Yerevan denied the accusations, accusing Azerbaijan. -02D-
