Armenians about the route of the new road in the Lachin corridor
Baku/02.02.22/Turan: On February 1, there was an interesting information about the new route of the Lachin corridor on Armenian telegram channels. This is due to the fact that, according to the tripartite statement of November 10, 2020, the Armenians should soon leave the city of Lachin. This means that they will no longer be able to use this part of the corridor that runs through the city.
A new road-corridor that will connect Karabakh with Armenia will be laid from Karkidzhahan (a suburb of Khankendi) through the villages of Gaybaly, Zarysly and Turshsu.
Further, the road will pass through the villages of Kirov, Boyuk Galaderesi and Kichik Galaderesi and bypassing the city of Lachin, will reach the village of Kornidzor in Armenia. Armenian sources in Karabakh confirm that this is due to the imminent departure of Armenians from Lachin.
If you look at the map, you can see that two new sections of the road will be built. However, about half of the current road will also be in use. If this is so, then in these areas the Armenians and Azerbaijanis will push face to face. In any case, the road will be lengthened for the Armenians.
In addition, near Lachin, the new and the old road would have to cross. -02B-
