Armenians Break Agreements on Withdrawal from Kelbajar, Lachin
Baku / 12.11.20 / Turan: The illegal Armenian government in Nagorno-Karabakh has officially declared its unwillingness to leave the territory located between the former NK autonomous region and the Republic of Armenia. In accordance with the action plan signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia, the Armenian armed forces must withdraw from the entire Kelbajar region by November 15 and the Agdam region by November 20. By December 1, the occupants must leave the Lachin region, excluding the so-called "Lachin corridor". Together with the Armenian military, the civilian population and local authorities were going to leave the region.
However, the illegal Armenian authorities of Karabakh urged the population "not to rush to leave the Kashatag and Shahumyan regions." According to the administrative map of the occupied territory adopted by the occupation regime, the so-called Kashatag region includes most of the Lachin region and the Gubadly and Zangilan regions.
The invaders call the territory of the Kelbajar region of Azerbaijan Shahumyan region.
"Territorial concessions and the terms stated in this plan have not yet been discussed with the NK authorities," Vahram Poghosyan, press secretary of the Karabakh leader, wrote on his Facebook page. According to him, as soon as these discussions begin and there are appropriate clarifications, the government will issue a statement.
The news of the intention to stay in Karabakh was confirmed by an Armenian priest. "The Dadivank monastic complex (Albanian - Ed.) In Nagorno-Karabakh will not be transferred to the Azerbaijani side," Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, the rector of the temple, told Sputnik Armenia.
The head of the separatist regime Arayik Harutyunyan called him and told him not to touch the khachkars. "He said that Dadivank was and will remain ours," priest Hovhannes noted. "We are not giving Dadivank to the Turks," Hovhannes told Aysor.am.
Earlier, the priest said that he had to deal with the issue of exporting khachkars and valuable artifacts. The news of the transfer of Kelbajar to the Azerbaijani side came as a shock to him. —0—
