At Trial of Khadija Ismayilova
Today's session of the trial of the journalist Khadija Ismayilova has not started due to lack of lawyers.
The judge announced a break of 14 hours, but lawyers are engaged in another trial and cannot come today, said Khadija Ismayilova.
At the same time, independent media and the public were not allowed once again. The hall is filled with dummies. The journalist’s mother Elmira Ismayilova said that she does not know anyone in the hall. "But they say they are my relatives," she said indignantly.
The head of the National Council, Professor Jamil Hasanli and other public figures were not allowed in either.
Meanwhile, the judge threatened to take action against the lawyers and complain to the Bar.
Khadija protested to the judge, saying that they lawyers yesterday warned that they will not be able to attend. Ismayilova also protested that the hall once again was filled with strangers. -1602D-
