Azerbaijan did not let Russian military plane through its airspace
Baku / 14.0920 / Turan: The Azerbaijani military forced the Russian military reconnaissance aircraft AWACS A-50 to turn around in the sky over the Caspian Sea and fly around the country's airspace, blocking flight through its airspace, reported the site Avia.Pro.
The Russian plane had to request permission to fly through the territory from Turkmenistan, which will apparently have to be done further.
A few days ago, Russian Aerospace Forces planes were flying through the airspace of Azerbaijan without any problems, following to the Khmeimim airbase in Syria.
According to the website, the spy plane flew from Syria to Russia. When exactly this happened is not reported. So far, there are no official comments on this matter either from Azerbaijan or from Russia.
Relations between Baku and Moscow cooled after Russian arms supplies to Armenia during the aggravation of the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in mid-July. Moscow refused to acknowledge the obvious fact, which Baku regarded as a blatant disregard for Azerbaijan's interests. -02D-
