Azerbaijan Opens Border Outpost at Keshikchi Dag
Baku /07.10.19Turan: The State Border Guard Service (SBGS) of Azerbaijan has commissioned a new Keshikchi Gala border outpost on a section of the border with Georgia. It covers the cave-temple complex Keshikchi Dag.
The outpost is equipped with "all the necessary equipment that meets modern requirements," the agency writes.
The opening ceremony was attended by the chief of the SBGS Elchin Guliyev and the head of the executive branch of the Agstafa region Nizameddin Guliyev.
During the ceremony, it was emphasized that the new outpost along with border protection was called upon to "protect the historical and cultural heritage of the Azerbaijani people."
The Keshikchi Dag cave and temple complex is located on the border of Azerbaijan and Georgia and is 25 km long. A number of objects, which in Georgia are called the David Gareji Monastery Complex, are located on the top of the mountain along which the border passes.
According to the administrative borders between the republics of the USSR, these objects belong to Azerbaijan. - 06D--

During the hearing, the investigator requested that the complaint be rejected, while Ibrahimov's lawyer, Aghil Laidj, pointed out the lack of grounds for keeping Ibrahimov in custody.

Arrested economist Fazil Gasimov has reportedly faced pressure after protesting the interruption of a phone call with his family on November 16. "The phone call was cut off, and Fazil demanded that the connection be restored. Then, Jalal Alizadeh, a detention center officer, along with his colleagues, forcibly removed Fazil from the phone room in the medical unit of the facility, tearing his jacket and dragging him across the floor before throwing him into a cell.
