Committee to Protect Hilal Mamedov Appeals to Iranian Ambassador
The public committee to protect the rights Hilal Mamedov, editor-in-chief of "Tolyshi Sado”, appealed to the Iranian ambassador Mohsen Pakayin. The appeal calls for express charges related to the investigation of criminal ties between Mamedov and government agencies of Iran.
In particular, the investigation stated that large quantities of drugs were delivered by the Iranian secret service ETTELAT. It alleges that Mamedov worked closely with Iranian citizens, a scientist Ali Abdoli and an employee of the Iranian Foreign Minister, Huseyin Ahmedi.
The authors of the appeal requested a prompt resolution of the charges from the Ambassador of Iran. At the same time, it is emphasized that Mamedov is known to Azerbaijani society as a patriot of the country doing his best for the democratic development of Azerbaijan, far from radicalism, separatism and drugs.—06B-
