Court Leaves Deputy Chairman of Popular Front Party in Custody
The Nasimi District Court extended the term of arrest of the Deputy Chairman of the Popular Front Party Fuad Gahramanli for another month.
According to the lawyer Yalcin Imanov, Judge Elman Isayev granted the request to extend the arrest for the investigation.
Recall that Gahramanli was arrested on charges of calling for the violent seizure of power and inciting hatred. According to the authorities, the basis for such serious accusations was Gahramanli’s publication on his Facebook page, in which he called on residents of the village Nardaran to assert their rights.
Human rights activists and Gahramanli’s colleagues consider him a political prisoner. -02B-
