The Russian press reports that an informal summit of the Eurasian Economic Union will be held in St. Petersburg on Friday. The President of Russia invited to the meeting not only the leaders of the EurAsEC member countries, but also the heads of the CIS states that are not members of the economic association.
The head of the Russian state intends to "talk on current issues, exchange views on what we could do in the coming year, and compare watches on current international issues." At the same time, Vladimir Putin noted that he would like the summit not to be overloaded with protocol meetings.
