Judges' salaries increased
Baku/07.23.19/Turan: On July 23, President Ilham Aliyev signed the law "On amendments and additions to the law" on courts and judges. The document provides for an increase in official salaries of judges.
The salary of the Chairman of the Supreme Court is equal to the official salary of the Speaker of Parliament - 2,475 manat ($ 1,455).
Earlier, the head of the Supreme Court received a salary AZN 2,280 ($ 1,341).
With an increase in the salary of the head of the Supreme Court, the salaries of all judges will increase.
The salary of the head of the Supreme Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the heads of the appellate courts is 90 percent of the salary of the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan.
The heads of specialized courts (for serious crimes, war crimes, administrative and economic courts) will receive a salary of 80 percent of the salary of the Chairman of the Supreme Court.
The salary of the chairpersons of other courts is 70 percent of the salary of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
The heads of the collegiums of the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of the NAR and the appellate courts are set at 85 percent of the salary of the chair of the respective court.
Judges of all courts receive a salary of 80 percent of the amount of the salary of the head of the relevant court. -21B-
