Most of presidential candidates criticize not power, but the opposition
In contrast to the previous public television presidential debates, the debates held on Saturday were held in a relatively peaceful atmosphere. However, again the majority of candidates have come up with criticism and accusations against the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF), and its candidate Jamil Hasanli.
Two presidential candidates Zahid Oruj (self-nominated member of parliament ) and the authorized representative of Ilham Aliyev, Siyavush Novruzov, called Hafiz Hajiyev (head of the party "Modern Musavat ") and Jamil Hasanli ( the presidential candidate of the NCDF) to apologize for the incident on ITV.
Then Hajiyev insulted Hasanli’s family members, and threw a bottle of water at him, and Hasanli demanded clarifications about the sources of income of the presidential family.
However, in the current debate Hajiyev said that did not make anything reprehensible, and accused the government of Elchibey of treason and aiding the Armenians (Hajiyev himself used to be its member.)
The leader of the Democratic Party, Sardar Jalaloglu, said that "everything said here about the Elchibay government was a lie." However, he drew attention to the fact that five members of the government of Elchibay (1992-93) are currently the presidential candidates.
Leader of «Umid», MP Iqbal Aghazadeh, as during the first two debates, immediately took advantage of the 6-minute time. He focused attention on the problems of agriculture.
Mais Gyulalyev, the representative of the Justice Party led by MP Ilyas Ismailov, noted the absence of need for ascertaining the problems and suggested ways to resolve them.
The head of the party, National Revival Movement, MP Faraj Guliyev suggested deepening cooperation with the Turkic-speaking countries.
The leader of the Popular Front of United Azerbaijan, Gudret Hasanguliyev, proposed to implement constitutional reforms, to move from a presidential to a parliamentary republic, to restore a mixed majoritarian-proportional system of parliamentary elections.
Then Hasanguliyev blamed Jamil Hasanli, that before Hasanli praised the current government, but now Hasanli has changed his position by 180 degrees.
Hasanli demanded from the representative of Ilham Aliyev, deputy executive secretary of the party "Yeni Azerbaijan", Siyavush Novruzov, an explanation for the purchase for Ilham Aliyev’s son 11 villas in Dubai at $75 million, offshore companies of Aliyev’s family, etc. According to him, the major banks of the country by 75 percent of the country’ wealth is controlled by the ruling family.
Hasanli immediately used his 6-minute speech left the studio.
Novruzov said Hasanli’s statements are based only "on publication of several papers on the basis of fictitious Armenian sources."
Novruzov said his party will demand from Hasanli the report on objects passed to him by the ex-minister of economic development, Farhad Aliyev.
The leader of the Social Democratic Party, Araz Alizadeh , focusing attention on the unresolved Nagorno-Karabakh conflict , said that the problem should be solved not through the OSCE , but with the help of strong army.
He also accused the NCDF for getting financial assistance not only from Azerbaijan , but also Russian oligarchs . -06D
