Netherlands rely on support Azerbaijan in elections to UN Security Council
A trade delegation of the Netherlands will visit Azerbaijan on 17-20 May to participate in a joint economic forum. This will be preceded by a visit of the Minister of Economy of the Netherlands Henk Kamp, who will visit Baku on May 10-11, said on Wednesday the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Azerbaijan Robert Gabrielse at a press conference dedicated to the national holiday - the Day of the King.
In addition, a number of Dutch companies will participate in agricultural exhibition Caspian Agro-2016, May 19-21 in Baku. According to him, last year the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $ 120 million. Today more than 50 Dutch companies work in Azerbaijan in shipbuilding, logistics, environment, banking.
The Netherlands is in the top five foreign investors in Azerbaijan, as well as cooperating with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan in the issue of flood prevention. Netherlands companies are involved in the cleaning of reservoirs and environmental projects. In particular, they participated in the cleanup of Lake Boyukshor that near the Olympic stadium in Baku. Projects on clean-up other water reservoirs in Absheron are being discussed.
Concerning political relations, the ambassador expressed hope that Azerbaijan will support the Netherlands for election of not permanent members of the UN Security Council for 2017-2018.-06C--
