Parliament Speaker on tour to Baltic countries
Baku/02.02.22/Turan: Milli Mejlis delegation headed by Speaker Sahiba Gafarova went on a tour of the Baltic States on February 1, the parliament's press service said. The day before, Gafarova arrived in Riga. Today she will have official meetings.
The program of the visit includes negotiations with the President, the Speaker of the Sejm, the Prime Minister and other Latvian officials.
Further, the delegation will visit Lithuania and Estonia where meetings with the heads and other officials of these countries will also take place.
The tour is aimed at discussing development of Azerbaijan's interstate relations and interparliamentary ties with the Baltic States. The trip will last until February 7. -06D-
