Permits for Construction and Operation of Construction Projects to Be Given by State Committee for Urban Development and Architecture
Baku / 02.08.18 / Turan: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on improving management in the field of urban development. The document provides for the transfer of the Main Directorate of Architecture and Urban Planning under the Office of the Chief Executive of Baku to the State Committee for Urban Development and Architecture (SCUDA).
From now on, permission for the construction and operation of construction projects in the administrative territory of Baku will be issued not by the city of Baku, but by the SCUDA. The exception will be those objects, which the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Agency for Housing Construction issue legally.
The Cabinet of Ministers was instructed, within two months, to draft a bill on introducing amendments to the Urban and Construction Code aimed at regulating the issues related to permitting procedures for construction activities.
At the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the results of the first half of this year, President Ilham Aliyev instructed the government to give proposals on regulating construction activities in Baku. ------08D--
