Police Detained the First Group of Opposition Protesters
Police take preventive measures against today's protest of the Public Chamber in front of the Parliament. Thus, the traffic police do not allow buses to stop in front of the Milli Majlis, although there is a usual bus stop there.
The journalists, who came to cover the action, have to work in severe conditions. Heavy rain is accompanied by a gale-force wind. Numerous journalists have barely fit under the canopy stop awaiting the start of the action, scheduled for 12:00. The action is held in protest against the tightening of
penalties for holding not sanctioned rallies. Today, the parliament is expected to approve this. -03B-
