Preparation for Presidential Elections Started
Baku / 20.01.18 / Turan: The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan has started preparations for the next presidential elections, which are to be held in October 2018. CEC head Mazahir Panahov told journalists today.
He noted that in accordance with the Electoral Code elections should be held on the third Wednesday of October, in this case - on October 17.
At the present time, the lists of voters are being clarified.
According to Panahov, clarification of voter lists for polling stations will be completed before February 5. Information on voter lists collected from the polling stations will be transferred to the constituency polling stations.
According to the CEC in May 2017, the number of voters in Azerbaijan was 5,163,250 citizens. -06D--
