R.Ibragimbekov: ECCS - not a project of the Kremlin

Union of Azerbaijani Organizations in  Russia (UAOR) was established  due to  inaction of the All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress (ARAC) and is intended to protect the rights of Azerbaijanis in Russia, said screenwriter Rustam Ibragimbekov, one of the founders and members of the Coordinating Council of the UAOR, in  an interview with several reporters.

According to him, the Congress was established 12 years ago and Heydar Aliyev himself asked  the famous Azerbaijani businessmen to take part in it. But two years ago Baku began  to intervene in  affairs  of the ARAC, its restructured was changed, and the institution of vice-presidents was abolished. On the other hand, the ARAC was not  re-registered, and  is not active.  Therefore, it was decided to create the UAOR, he said.

With regard to the election  the former Prime Minister Abbas Abbasov, thelader  of the  ARAC, the  presence of such distinguished and wealthy people, as Abbasov  can only contribute to solving the problems of Azerbaijanis.

Ibragimbekov expressed surprise that the government of Azerbaijan  is not happy with creation of ARAC. " They say that it was created by the Kremlin,  or by Pashayevs,  or by  Rasul Guliyev and  Eldar Namazov,"  said Ibragimbekov.

On the other hand, entrepreneurs, whom the Azerbaijani press calls billionaires offended that they actually  have been evicted  from the UAOR and eliminated the post of vice-presidents. They said: "if  they do  not  respect us,  we will not give the money."

According Ibragimbekov, Abbasov wants to meet with President Ilham Aliyev and convince him that the ARAC is not directed against him. However, he is not received. According to Ibragimbekov,  if they make pressure  on Abbasov, and  take away his all property,  there will be one more enemy of  powers.

Ibragimbekov denies any involvement in the creation of the ARAC by Kremlin. As for not agreeing the creation of the ARAC with Baku, the "billionaires" believe that they do not need to ask permission from the Azerbaijani authorities because they are citizens of the Russian Federation.

Answering the question whether any of the billionaires can become  an Azerbaijani Ivanishvili? Ibragimbekov said he does not see it yet. In his opinion, these people think more about business.

Ibragimbekov also expressed the opinion that if the Azerbaijani authorities do not  begin  changes in the country,  then revolution is inevitable.—06D-
