Sabir Rustamkhanly acquaints with the situation in Xinjiang
The leader of the Civil Solidarity Party, MP Sabir Rustamkhanly, went to visit the Xinjiang-Uygur Autonomous Region of China.
According to the press service of the party, the purpose of the trip is to familiarize with the situation and problems of compact Uygurs living there, and to establish bilateral contacts.
The first meeting took place in Urumchi with participation of Azerbaijani and local entrepreneurs. Then Rustamkhanly visited the graves of famous figures of Uygur culture of the Middle Ages, Mahmud Kashgari and Yusuf Balasagun.
He also met with Uygur poets and prose writers. At this meeting, the local official figures condemned the official Beijing for the bloody repression of the Uygur population in Xinjiang in June this year, when up to 40 Uygurs were killed. -05D-

Shamshad Aga, editor of the "Argument.az" website, has been found guilty in the Meydan TV case of smuggling (Article 206.3.2 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced to two months and one day in detention.
