Saleh Rustamov can lose his life at any moment - attorney
Baku/28.11.21/Turan: On the 22nd day of the hunger strike in prison, the former head of the Executive Power of the Gadabay region, Saleh Rustamov, is in critical condition and may lose his life at any time, lawyer Bahruz Bayramov told Turan.
On November 27, the defender visited Rustamov at the Medical Institution of the Penitentiary Service.
“Salekh Rustamov's condition is critical. He can lose his life at any moment. This will become a stain on our legal system, create problems for the state in front of the international community. Saleh Rustamov intends to go all the way. Therefore, I appeal to the state bodies through the media to resolve the issue of his release, ”Bayramov said.
According to him, during the hunger strike, Rustamov was under constant medical supervision.
“The results of his analyzes have become known. The doctor said that the body is on the verge of complete exhaustion, some organs are already close to failure, ”the lawyer further noted.
According to him, on November 27, Rustamov was visited by employees of the ombudsman's office, including a doctor.
The staff of the apparatus contacted the Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva and she personally persistently asked Rustamov by phone to stop the hunger strike. He thanked the Ombudsman for the constant attention to his action, but said that he would continue the hunger strike, Bayramov continued.
