Tehran talks about "friendship" with Azerbaijan again
Baku/12.10.21/Turan: A telephone conversation took place between the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Iran - Jeyhun Bayramov and Hussein Amir Abdullahian on October 12.
According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, the parties stressed the importance of mutual respect for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of the two countries. The Iranian Foreign Minister said that Baku and Tehran have long-term and stable relations. He noted the need to prevent misunderstandings in relations between the two countries and stressed the importance of further strengthening and expanding ties. According to him, Tehran hopes that the transit problems will be resolved in the near future.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also pointed to the friendly relations between Baku and Tehran.
He stressed that friendly relations with neighboring countries are a priority for Azerbaijan. He pointed out the importance of resolving issues in a sincere atmosphere through dialogue.
Both ministers invited each other to Tehran and Baku, respectively.
It seems that the Iranian side, after failing to speak with Azerbaijan in the language of threats, returned to diplomatic dialogue. -06V-

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) today issued five rulings on applications from Azerbaijan. The case of "Afgan Mammadov v. Azerbaijan" concerned the complainant's exclusion from the Bar Association. Mammadov was expelled based on a complaint filed by a colleague, which he considered unjust. The ECHR ruled that Mammadov's rights had been violated and ordered Azerbaijan to pay him €5,000 in compensation for moral damage and €1,000 to cover legal costs.
