The Armenian side does not get the approval of international organizations for opening of the airport in Khojaly
Yerevan/26.10.12/Turan-ArmInfo: The Armenian side is able to shoot down aircrafts over the skies of Baku, but never voices such threats, said at the press conference, the commander of the Karabakh forces, General Movses Akopyan, commenting on Azerbaijan's threats to shoot down aircrafts flying in Nagorno-Karabakh.
"This year, through the planes of the enemy flew 2,226 times, and could easily destroy them," he said. Akopyan in fact, refuted numerous publications in Armenian media that the opening of the airport will be in the nearest future.
The opening of the airport is a very complex process, and probably it will open this year. It is ready, there are no technical problems, and we should agree the activities of the airport with international organizations, so that it functions in accordance with international norms and laws, said Akopyan. -02D-

On January 15, the Tbilisi Court of Appeals rejected the appeal of Afghan Sadigov, the founder of the Azel TV website, who had protested his extradition to Azerbaijan. On January 15, the Yasamal District Court rejected the motion to change the detention measure for Azer Gasymly, the director of the Institute of Political Management, his lawyer, Agyl Laidj, to Turan. "Azer Gasymly stated during the trial that the charges against him were fabricated and related to his socio-political activities," the lawyer said. An appeal will be filed against the court's decision.
