Tonoyan Сonfirms Armenia Is Occupant State
Baku / 10.06.09 / Turan: The awarding by the Defense Minister of Armenia of those who committed the murder of an Azerbaijani soldier is another proof of the occupation of Azerbaijani territories by this state. In this way, the spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan commented on the statement by the Defense Minister of Armenia on a "punitive operation" conducted on his order with the aim of destroying the Azerbaijani soldier and on his awarding those who participated in it.
"In our opinion, there is a lot of confusion in the camp of the enemy forces as to who controls whom. It is clear that the Armenian leadership, spreading false statements, is trying to evade responsibility. But the Defense Minister of this country, personally awarding the people who executed his order to destroy the Azerbaijani soldier, thus confirmed the fact that Armenia is an occupying state. This is clear evidence of the direct involvement of the Armenian armed forces in the occupation of the territories of Azerbaijan," the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan said.
This act of the Armenian Defense Minister also clearly demonstrates that Armenia is misleading the international mediators, and shows obvious disrespect for them. "We remind you that during the visit of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to the region, the Armenian armed forces staged a bloody provocation using sniper fire, and repeatedly committed a bloody crime several days after the co-chairs made a statement in connection with their visit to the region. We are sorry to note that as a result of the irresponsible behavior of Armenia, the region is on the verge of increasing tensions. These provocations committed by the supporters of the war in Armenia are an attempt to strike a blow at the essence of the talks conducted with the aim to resolve the conflict. We once more emphasize that the responsibility for the developments in this area lies on the Armenian side," the representative of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
On May 30, Azerbaijani soldier Agil Omarov was killed in the Karabakh conflict zone.
The Armenian side reported on the death of its soldier Sipan Melkonyan on June 1.
On June 9, a soldier of the Azerbaijani Army Elshan Vugar Oglu Khalilov was killed as a result of a shot fired by the enemy in the direction of the Terter region of the front. -06D--
