During the investigation conducted by the staff of the Main Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General, solid suspicions were revealed that the acting head of the conscription department, Savalan Rasulov, and an employee of this structure, Farid Ismailov, having entered into collusion with other persons, received various sums of money from citizens as a bribe for assistance in recognition of some conscripts as "unfit for active military service".
According to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, Rasulov and Ismailov were charged under Article 311.3.1 (receiving a bribe by a group of persons by prior agreement), 311.3.2 (receiving a bribe repeatedly) and other Articles of the Criminal Code. By a court decision, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen in their regard. Investigative measures to bring to justice other persons involved in the commission of these crimes are continuing.
