Yerevan, after Baku, called the meeting on the border constructive
Baku/27.05.22/Turan: The first meeting of the national commissions of Armenia and Azerbaijan on the issue of border delimitation and security on May 24 on the border of the two countries was constructive, the chairman of the Armenian commission, Vice Prime Minister of the Republic Mher Grigoryan, told TASS on Friday.
"At this meeting, we discussed exclusively organizational issues of further joint work, and in this regard, I consider the meeting to be quite constructive. There are no agreements yet on the date of the next meeting of the commissions on delimitation and border security issues, but there is confirmation that the meeting will be held in Moscow," he said.
Grigoryan confirmed that a meeting of the trilateral working group on unblocking transport and economic ties in the region will be held in Moscow next week, under the joint chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Ministers of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that a day earlier, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also gave a positive assessment of the meeting between Deputy Prime Ministers Shahin Mustafayev and Mher Grigoryan.
According to unofficial data, it took place near the village of Sadarak, which is on the border of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Ararat region of Armenia. In the same place in 2002, the presidents of the two countries, Heydar Aliyev and Robert Kocharyan, met. -02D-
