About 900 Citizens of Azerbaijan Involved in ISIS
Baku / 25.09.17 / Turan: About 900 Azerbaijani citizens have been involved in the terrorist organization Islamic State (ISIS) over the past five years and participated in battles abroad, the head of the State Security Service (SSS) Madat Guliyev told journalists.
Eighty-five of them were detained by law enforcement bodies of Azerbaijan and brought to criminal liability. 195 people associated with the international terrorist network have been deprived of Azerbaijani citizenship.
Most of them died in battle. About 300 Azerbaijanis were allegedly killed in Iraq.
Employees of the SSS are currently clarifying data about the dead. -06D--
