"Abulfaz is bedridden and cannot move on its own. He is detained at the Medical Institution and other prisoners are watching him. In addition to the previous illnesses - spinal cord injury to hepatitis C, bedsores, he has recently been suffering from an intestinal infection and is unable to eat. We tested the samples elsewhere, and doctors discovered a strong infection and fungi in the intestines, which lost function. His health is very serious," said his spouse Leyla Bunyadova.
According to her, Bunyadov is kept in a small ward together with 5 people.
"Keeping a person in such a state in prison is like killing him." Abulfaz Bunyadov should be immediately released and taken under serious medical supervision. Otherwise, the responsibility for what happens to him will be borne by those who unlawfully condemned him and kept him in prison," the deputy chairman of the Muslim Unity Movement Elchin Gasimov said.
During a special operation in Nardaran in November 2015, Bunyadov was wounded in his spine.
Despite the fact that he was bedridden, he was detained for several months.
Subsequently, the court changed the preventive measure to house arrest.
However, according to the results of the judicial investigation, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison on charges of trying to change the constitutional order, terrorism, etc. - 06D-
