Amphibious aircraft involved in extinguishing fire in Girkan forest
Baku /21.08.19/Turan: Aviation involved in extinguishing a fire in the Girkan National Park in southern Azerbaijan.
According to the message of the Ministry of Emergencies, the aircraft was involved on August 21, and before that two helicopters participated in the fight against fire.
Such a long continuation of the fire that broke out in the morning of August 20 by the Ministry of Ecology is explained by the location of the park in the highlands, the impossibility of using ground equipment to extinguish.
Girkan National Park is located on the area of 40358 in the Lankaran and Astara districts. Forests here consist of chestnut oak, demiragach (iron tree) and other types of vegetation.
Of the animals here live leopard, bear, wild boars, and roe deer. -06D-
