ANAMA in November cleared of mines 3,713,025 sq. m of territory
In November, the Azerbaijan National Agency for clearance (ANAMA) have been tested and cleared of mines and unexploded military ordnance 3,713,025 sq. m of territory.
Detected and defused 793 unexploded military ordnance and 7 anti-tank mines, said ANAMA.
The operations involve 484 mine detectors and 118 support staff. In addition, emergency vehicles are 6 and 36 specially trained dogs.
Total to date in Azerbaijan from mines cleared 210,907,955 square meters area. Detected and neutralized were 675,552 mines and unexploded ordnance.
Clean-up operations are carried out in minutes Agdam, Agstafa, Fizuli, Gadabay, Goygol, Goranboy, Tartar areas, and in the mud volcanoes Kirdag in Absheron and village Guzdek Garadagh district of Baku.
In November 2012 also registered 4 cases undermine the mines and unexploded military ordnance. -06D -
