Armenian youth on the night at the Baku airport
An Armenian citizen, 22-year-old Asatur Khachatryan, taking off from Yerevan to Kiev on July 22, was sent back because his documents were not in order.
However, Kiev guards mistakenly put Khachatryan on a plane flying to Baku, and not to Yerevan.
When he returned, Khachatryan told Armenian media the details of his adventure. Asatur said that before the plane landed, he did not know that he was flying to Azerbaijan. Then he was surprised and asked in Russian where he was, and he was told that he was in Azerbaijan.
"They were not aware that I am Armenian, and then, when those in Kiev reported an error, they treated me fine, although in my heart I was scared. At first they were surprised, too, but treated me very well, fed me, and helped, and everything was fine. There was one man who said he would help me to go home and helped me, so everything was normal, so I am grateful to all."
"The whole day I was there. I just spent the night at the office, and I was given all - underwear, food, bedding, but it was a very long night, and, thank God, I am now back in Kiev, drinking coffee with my brother and everything is fine," he said. -02D-
