Baku hosts Second Intercollegiate forum "Azerbaijan - France "
The second Intercollegiate forum "Azerbaijan - France" took place in Baku ADA University "ADA" on 4-5 April. The forum was organized by the University "ADA", the French Embassy in Azerbaijan, and the agency "Kampus Frans." The forum was attended by representatives of 11 universities of Azerbaijan and France.
According to the rector of "ADA", Hafiz Pashayev, soon this university and one of the universities in France will sign a memorandum of understanding. It is also expected to sign a memorandum with the French Institute of Management İESEG. Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Education, Ceyhun Bayramov, noted the importance that Azerbaijan attaches to promote international cooperation in the field of education.
According to him, 2612 people were sent to study abroad under the "State Program on education of Azerbaijani youth abroad in 2007-2015."
The French ambassador to Azerbaijan, Pascal Monnier , pointed out the creation of opportunities for studying the Azerbaijani youth at universities in France. In his view, cooperation in this area will continue.
The forum discussed the development of cooperation between universities of the two countries, the implementation of programs for student and scientific exchange.—06D--

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony. The invitation, delivered by Member of the European Parliament Michael Bloss at the COP29 climate conference, comes as Ibadoglu remains under house arrest and prohibited from leaving Azerbaijan.
