The brothers Vekil and Raja Imanov have been arrested. Vekil has been arrested for 4 months, and Raja – for 3 months. Both are brothers of the editor of the Internet TV channel Meydan TV Gunel Mevlut. Vekil Imanov was detained in Bilasuvar, and Raja was detained in Sumgait. Turan was told by the lawyer Nemat Karimli. According to him, today he is going to meet with the investigator in Bilasuvar. The lawyer said he intends to appeal.
Kerimli said the criminal case against the brothers Mevlut is far-fetched.
"In Azerbaijan, politicians and their relatives are put in prison on the charge of drug trafficking. The brothers are in no way to blame. How did it happen that one of them was detained in Baku and the other in Bilasuvar with an interval of 10-15 minutes?" he wondered.
