Court blocked the site xural.com
Baku / 08.08.18 / Turan: Today, the Sabail District Court, under the chairmanship of judge Shahin Abdullayev, considered the appeal of the Electronic Security Center of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies about blocking the site xural.com.
The Center found in the publication of the site the violation of the laws "On Cyber Security and" On Information, Informatization and Protection of Information. "
In particular, the talk is about four publications about the attempt on the head of Ganja Elmar Veliyev, about the death of the patients in the Sabunchu hospital, the early release of the grandson of the vice-premier Ali Hasanov, about the ban on convicted blogger Mehman Huseynov to visit the dying mother.
The editor of the site, Avaz Zeynalli, said that he did not receive requests from the Electronic Security Center for the withdrawal of these materials. He learned about it only this morning, when they called from the court.
The editors deleted three publications, which are a product of other information resources, in particular, the information agency Turan. And only with regard to grandson of Ali Hasanov, the editorial board insists on its rightness.
The lawyer of the editorial board Zibeyda Sadigova pointed out that the claims made to the editorial offices are not the subject of the competence of the Electronic Security Center and fall within the scope of defamation. Individuals should speak about slander and insult to plaintiffs, and claims must be considered at a court session relating to defamation.
The lawyer also petitioned for linguistic examination and the invitation to the court representatives who considered that xural.com had violated the laws. However, the court rejected all applications and decided to block the site xural.com. -06B-

Baku, often called the "Caucasian Dubai," is increasingly known for systematic violations of residents' housing rights. During urban renovations and the construction of elegant new buildings, thousands of families in Azerbaijan’s capital have been unlawfully deprived of their homes. Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
