Fans Waiting for Czech Republic-Azerbaijan Soccer Game
Today at 22:45 by Baku time the Azerbaijan national football team will play the third match in the qualifying tournament of the World Championship in 2018.
The national team will play away against the Czech Republic.
After two rounds the Azerbaijani national team with two wins with the same score 1: 0 (away against San Marino and at home against Norway) has 6 points and shares the first two places with the German national team.
The Czech Republic team has scored just one point so far, playing a draw 0: 0 with Northern Ireland at home and losing the guest game to the German national team - 0: 3.
Note that after two rounds Azerbaijan together with the national teams of Switzerland, Germany, England, Belgium, Greece and Albania is among a group of teams having a perfect result (some of these teams have played a match of the third round – ed.).
This is the first time in the history of the football team of Azerbaijan when it gained two wins in a row. Two wins (but not in a row) were won only in the qualifying tournament for Euro 2012.
The maximum number of points was gained by the team of Azerbaijan in the qualifying for the World Cup 2014 - 9 points (one win and six draws).
Although at the moment the result is perfect, the quality leaves much to be desired. However, fans are waiting for the national team of Azerbaijan to continue the successful series. -71B-
