Gubad Ibadoglu Demands Investigating Attempt on His Daughter at Polling Station
Baku / 13.02.20 / Turan: The well-known economist and politician Gubad Ibadoglu demanded to investigate and punish the guilty of assaulting his daughter Zhala Bayramova at a polling station on February 9.
Bayramova is a member of the election commission with an advisory vote on the 15th precinct of the 76th Lankaran-Astara District.
The physical attack and expulsion from the polling station was organized by the secretary of the election commission, a member of the Popular Front of the United Azerbaijan Mubariz Amirov.
“My daughter tried to stop falsification, but in response they began to strangle her and nearly killed her,” Gubadoglu writes and attaches a video of this incident.
The video clearly shows who and how is exerting physical pressure on Bayramova, however, two days after the appeal of Ibadoglu and the victim herself to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, no one was involved.
As a result of the attack, doctors diagnosed injuries in Bayramova’s neck, bumps on the head, and injuries on the body.
“I appeal to President Ilham Aliyev as the guarantor of the security of citizens in accordance with the Constitution. The Minister of the Interior of your government bears legal responsibility for this,” Ibadoglu said.
He called on the President to investigate the attempt on his daughter and punish those responsible. –06D-
