Human rights activists condemn the pressure on the new Talysh organization
Committee to Protect Hilal Mammadov, Chief Editor of "Tolyshi Sado" ("Voice of the Talysh"), made a statement of protest against the attack on the newly created Democratic Union of Talyshes for the Azerbaijani Statehood (DUTAS.)
The Committee, in particular, condemned the blackmailing campaign against DUTAS by the ruling party "Yeni Azerbaijan" unnecessarily blaming the new structure of separatism.
The statement says that the statute and program has nothing directed against the Azerbaijani statehood.
The statement also indicated that the two co-founders of DUTAS Mehdibek Safarov and Eldaniz Guliyev are members of the Committee to protect the rights of Mammadov, and love their country as much as the ruling party "Yeni Azerbaijan."
Committee calls for an end to the campaign against DUTAS.
Statement was signed by the co-chairs of the Committee to protect the rights of Mammadov, the co-head of the Helsinki Citizens' Assembly, Arzu Abdullayeva, and the founder of the newspaper "Tolyshi Sado" ("Voice of the Talysh"), Rafig Jalilov.—06D--

In the last two days, a "news" story appeared on TikTok about a whale spotted on Baku's seaside boulevard. The most "observant" users posted videos, commenting on the size of the animal. Later, other "witnesses" claimed it wasn't a whale, but a shark. Even later, a version emerged suggesting it was a submarine.
