ICRC Staff Visits Dilgam Askerov and Shahbaz Guliyev
The staff of the International Committee of the Red Cross visited two Azerbaijanis recently captured by the Armenian side in Kelbajar - Dilgam Askerov and Shahbaz Guliyev. Armenians accused them of murder and preparing a terrorist attack, and sentenced them.
As reported by the Azerbaijani representation of ICRC, the aim of the visit was to get acquainted with the conditions of their detention and the exchange of information with families.
The hostages were given information from their relatives and taken letters for them.
Askerov was sentenced for life by the Karabakh separatist regime and Guliyev was imprisoned for 22 years. The men themselves said in court that they wanted to visit their homes. -16D-
