In the last two days, more than 62 kg of drugs have been seized at the Iranian border
Baku/02.03.23/Turan: On the night of March 1, employees of the Goradiz border guard detained a resident of the Agsu district, Manafov Mammad, born in 1986, and confiscated 17 kg. 600 gr. of marijuana and 1,430 psychotropic Methadone-40 tablets.
On the night of March 2, near the village of Alasha in the Astara region, border guards recorded a violation of the state border by Iran. During the operational search activities, residents of Shirvan Aliev Ali and Balayev Arif and Mirzoev Kamal were detained, who tried to leave the area in a VAZ-2107 car. During the inspection of the car, more than 10 kg of marijuana were found.
During the arrest, Balayev resisted, ignoring the legitimate demands of the border guards, and then wounded himself with a knife. After first aid, he was evacuated to the Lankaran regional Hospital.
At 2 a.m. on March 2, border guards seized 8.6 kg of marijuana and 63 grams of mercury near the village of Zevin, Yardymli district, and at 4 a.m. border guards found a package of 18.4 kg of drugs (marijuana, heroin, opium) near the village of Agshagy Yaglavend, Fuzuli district. Three hours later, a package with 7 kg of marijuana was found near the Iranian border near the city of Astara. Operational investigative measures are being carried out on these facts. --0--
